Self-help isn’t just about books or inspirational words. To me, it means learning myself deeply and choosing tools that support my healing, growth and evolution. Self-help can look like rituals, journaling, therapy, spiritual practices or even doctor care. It is not a one size fits all journey it is personal, intentional and sacred.
My Turning Point
My belief in self-help didn’t come from theory it came from a moment that changed everything. After the car accident with my boys, life as I knew it shattered. I was overwhelmed in every direction physically, emotionally, spiritually. I felt unseen, unheard and unworthy of joy. My prayers felt thin, my purpose felt distant and I was losing myself.
One morning something in me whispered that I needed more than survival. I remembered hearing about chakras not deeply, just the idea of alignment. That word stayed with me. So I followed it.
I bought a simple chakra kit: seven stones and essential oils. That small act became the first moment I chose myself not perfectly, not fully but intentionally.
The power of Consistency and Action
Self-help only works when knowledge is paired with movement. Consistency is showing up even when there are no instant results. Action is choosing to do the work, not just think about it.
I learned that my lows came when I abandoned myself when I stopped practicing, planning, grounding or checking in with my spirit. Every time I returned to myself even with shaky hands I rose again.
A Message to the Self-Healer
If you are reading this and you feel tired, uncertain or lost I want you to take a slow breath.
You are not broken. You are not beyond healing. You are not too far gone.
Healing through confusion, heartache, and heaviness is possible. You are worthy of love, rest, peace and joy. Everything you need already lives within you.
You are your first love and choosing yourself again and again is the journey home.
